how can I do this without losing an eyebrow?

I got a can of butane to refill the lighter I found at the march. I am slick. Except that the lighter sends a veritable column of flame shooting into the air. Hmm. I am not allowed to light anyone's cigarette...ever.

Day two at home. My car will cost less to tune up than I'd feared. Still, 300 bucks isn't exactly something to sneeze at.

Feeling a little crazed from being cooped up in the apartment. And still kinda sick. But I got on the bike to go down to the P.O. to see what the package slip was for and it was the body jewelry, which had come all the way from Thailand, only to be not what I ordered. So I sent that back today.

I'm rereading The Witch of Blackbird Pond for the zillionth time. There's something comforting about being able to crack open a children's book when you're feeling crappy.
