I've been hearing people use the phrase, "It is what it is," a lot lately. I want to say that sounds like an expression derived from our black culture. If so, count that as another thing co-opted by my white friends. Random note.

Good to hear you're doing OK in the sunshine state man! Watching Discovery take off sounds awesome, I don't think I'll ever see a space shuttle launch, unless Australia starts a space program, and that's not too likely. Oh well.
