I've been hearing people use the phrase, "It is what it is," a lot lately. I want to say that sounds like an expression derived from our black culture. If so, count that as another thing co-opted by my white friends. Random note.
Speaking of co-opting black culture, I stopped working hard at my job. Hey-ohhhh. No, in all seriousness, I have worked hard, but I really hate the AFLAC gig. I dread the work, the cold calling, the constant state of persistence I have to be in. It blows. So starting soon I'll be looking for another job.
I want to work in a bank like I originally planned, but that whole industry is still recovering from the economic downturn. That won't stop me from applying for jobs, but once the money starts running out, (which isn't far away) I'll probably seek a night job. And the most conducive job to fit my schedule while maintaining my employment with AFLAC would be a restaurant gig. So I'm kinda going back to square one. But I dunno, it's better than doing a job you hate. We shall see.
Other than that the Florida life is awesome. There's so much to do. The only variable tossing a wrench into my gears is my job. Unfortunately I need that job so I can enjoy all the other things I like so much about this state. Here's an example of how awesome Florida is. Tonight I'm driving an hour east to Cape Canaveral, which is on the Atlantic coast, to watch a space shuttle launch at 1:30. I've been told it's an amazing spectacle, the whole sky lights up and it looks like it's daytime.
My girlfriend visited me for most of August, but she left a week ago, which blows. Consequently I've rekindled my old relationship with my hand that I enjoyed so dearly from years 15 to 19, and then temporary from 23 to 24. Ah-hemmmmmmmm. I have viruses all over my computer. It's infected. I wonder if that's correlated to my increased frequency of self gratification. Nevertheless, it looks like I'll have to reformat and resort to memories of watching my cousin at the beach when the waves knocked off her top during that family trip when we were 13 to supplement my masturbatory resources. Ah-hemmmmmmmmm again.
I kinda feel out of the loop. Don't really know what everyone's doing right now. I assume some people are continuing school, working... I dunno. Kinda weird with fall semester starting and me not being apart of that. Anyways.. Gotta jet. I love you all. Ah-hemmmmm.
