Today was our first official Soul Run event of the term, a Soulunch to welcome the newbies to the group.
Only three showed up, two guys and a girl. It was interesting trying to imagine them doing the dance, but then again, I couldn't imagine anyone doing the dance when I first joined and met everyone. I brought my successful butter mochi and had everyone eat it. Luckily it turned out great, otherwise I'd be stuck with a huge cake pan full of unedible mochi. I know I spoil everyone too much, because since practices have dwindled to zero, the few times we do meet I always make something. I guess it's more for selfish reasons though, because I feel like eating something sweet but don't want to become obese from eating the entire batch myself [which I will if I'm given the chance]. Plus compliments are always a feel-good pick up at the end of the day. :)
Anyway, apparently there are practices on the horizon, because Rob wants to perfect his dancing. I wasn't going to join, but maybe if more people do it as well I'll join too. I really need the exercise, and I can't let myself forget the dance!
