I do like that. Cleverly constructed, and a good change of voice from the first verse to the second.

I haven't managed an episode poem, but I did manage one about Owen Harper.

"Concise" is never my best thing! But "Day One" was easy. It's just a matter of finding the right theme....

I make that sound easy. Right. It's luck, mostly.

I find that one or two good lines helps the rest write itself. It's just those one or two lines that really depend on luck!

Pity that. Hmm. Perhaps one of the later poems can focus on Jack's take on alien sex? (Easy to sum up in one word, actually. Yes.)

I will definitely post Jack's thoughts on alien sex as soon as I can. (I.e., as soon as I manage to write them.)

Steaming along indeed, with more poems written in first draft... Hey, if I don't do it as a string, I'll never get it done at all. And it's fun. I'm still wrestling with the last few lines of the one for "They Keep Killing Suzie". I could kill them for spelling her name with a zed just to make it difficult for me.

(I guess I'm no one to talk - I'm an Elizabeth-with-a-zed. But I'm not trying to make a poem of that!)

Words for Z...

Get to the end of TKKS, and all I can think about is 'Zips' - but I blame Ianto for that! ;-) And that turned into quite a different fic ;)
