Back to the Stars
Max had filled the Titanic with death. No musicians survived the destruction, no glamorous travellers. Alonso Frame, alive, elated to be alive, turned up the music in the ballroom and smiled at the Torchwood man who'd been taking photos. "Dance?"
Ianto Jones danced smoothly, fluidly. He was human and strong and full of life.
"There was a woman I knew," said Alonso. "She didn't die, not really. The Doctor turned her into a star."
"There are worse fates," said Ianto. "My boyfriend keeps getting killed. I always fear he won't revive again."
"That's unusual," said Alonso.
"So's he," confirmed Ianto.
