But it's undeniable that he curls into Jack like a child seeking comfort from a parent. It's in every embrace we've seen, and I have no doubt that sexually he receives Jack in like fashion. Like a benediction, or ...or something. How could he not be in awe?
Officially, I support Top!Ianto, because he's underrepresented in fic. But personally, it's Bottom!Ianto for me.

Jack gives his life meaning. Jack comforts him. Rescues him - sometimes from himself. And Jack teaches him. It isn't that Ianto accepts whatever Jack does or says, but there's a consistent pattern there.
I have no doubt that sexually he receives Jack in like fashion. Like a benediction, or ...or something. How could he not be in awe?
Absolutely. And on a purely physical basis - besides Jack's (much) greater experience, Jack has 51st-century pheromones and vortex energy surging within his body. That's got to be pretty awe-inspiring - and mightily sexually satisfying.
Considering on the captain's blog (yay for James Moran!) it was mentioned that on more than one occasion Ianto's tricked Jack into being handcuffed to his chair in his office, I'd be shocked if there wasn't some switch-hitting between those two~
I wish Moran would write the whole scene for us, in exquisite detail. In fact, I would go so far as to suspect that Ianto didn't have to work very hard to 'trick' Jack into it.

IF ONLY! It does make me happy to think that in the upcoming series he did write one of the episodes though. He did seem to have fun playing up their relationship in the background as well as giving Ianto some enjoyable snark~

Yes: bottomish, with toppy moments.

I think Ianto was bottomish with Lisa as well. He seems like a young man who is most comfortable in a mentor/acolyte role.

Oh, absolutely! That's the impression I got.
I was really disappointed in series 2 when Ianto stopped calling Jack "sir".
