(no subject)
so i'm in the arctic and er, it's fucking cold! completely amazing though, i cannot believe i am here!!!!! the train ride was amazing, i was on there for 40 hours and it was so much fun! i chatted to my fellow passengers, read my book, ate surprisingly good food for a train and i showered. THE TRAIN HAD DECENT SHOWERS! and my bed was so comfy! i had a lower berth and there was no one sleeping above me so i got to keep my bed down for the entire journey. i barely moved lol. met a woman called donna jo from cleveland ohio and omg she had the most 80s hair i've ever seen. there was some serious feathering/mullet action. but she was awesome. and i met a couple from Oklahoma who were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary by going to see the northern lights. which hopefully i will have the opportunity to see as well. i've been warned that there are polar bears in the area and that i shouldn't wander off lol. and i think we will be able to build an igloo because these californians who were here last week donated their minus 35 sleeping bags to the centre. so yeah. that'd be cool :)
dunno what else to say really. i think i might end it here, no doubt i'll update you at other points this week :)
