Well, thanks to everybody who replied to my previous post, I'm touched to find I still have fans! :) Love to all of you, guys. I'm glad so many people are still around - I guess Livejournal isn't quite dead yet after all...
And since there seems to have been an overwhelming majority vote for "post about music!" I will try and do just that. As a starting point though, if you do want to read me rambling about music a very good place to look is
this post which is the master archive for all my reviews on various sites. Since reviewing is taking up a lot of my music-listening time and writing energy at the moment, most of my output for the last few months is actually here.
[A quick aside... wow, those adverts I was muttering about in the last post? One of them has just actually turned up something good! Got an advert for a band I'd never heard of called
Hallows Descent and decided to click it, and I'm actually really impressed... black metal, power metal, death metal and a touch of what sounds like mainstream American rock in there as well. And they're all tiny and still in high school, which makes it even more impressive that they can play like this. Score one to LJ ads! \m/]
And speaking of self-promotion... the other thing I've done yesterday was to upload both extant official
Fire & Forget demos! So for those of my friends who have never heard me play, or those who have but would like their own half-decent copies of our recorded output - this is my band. This is the band I played bass in for a good five or six years, loved with all my heart, and that gave me some of the best friends, the best memories and the happiest nights of my life. It isn't much in the grand scheme of things I know, but nonetheless, ladies and gentlemen: we were, we are, and we always will be... FIRE AND FORGET! \m/
Here are the links:

The files include 320Kbps mp3s and scans of all associated art, liner notes and the discs themselves. Hope you guys enjoy these. ♥
Anyway, that's all for now, more soon I hope!
Cheers,
