I've been asked to write a short fiction piece for a blog and I am torn. I want to do two things and can't decide between them: A new fiction piece on Thorn, or an introdiction to Jane Yellowrock.
Neither would be a traditional short story, but a scene that might go in a future book as a flashback. My mind is having fun, floating free with the idea of a young-Jane vignette, but Thorn is calling to me too.
Decisions...
I am reading Poltergeist by Kat Richardson. Great urban fantasy novel, the second in the Greywalker series. Read it on the road, at night, by a tiny travel light. Can't be good for my eyes...but I didn't want to put it down.
Oh--the trip to the mountains this week for my anniversary was cut short simply because there was no dam water. Not a bad word. Just no dams let out any water. So it is rescheduled for next week.
We did get a chance to *test-drive* some demo boats in a pool of the Green River, which was nice. They were LiquidLogic ReMix 59s -- the same boat used by a character in the last half of my alterego's (Gwen Hunter) next book, Rapid Descent. I reeeeally liked the boat! Now to try it in some water that actually moves...
