Blue eyed individuals apparently share a common ancestor. Which makes it creepy that I have slept with other people with blue eyes, even though that common ancestor has to be like, way far back. Thanks, dreamsrundeep, for pointing that one out! I secretly geek on human evolution, both biological and sociological, so this was an interesting read!
Also, I'd like to point out that today is the last day to vote on the 2008 Bloggies, and some of my favourite blogs are up for awards. Dooce deserves every award she's been nominated for and then some, in my opinion, and while I don't read too many food blogs, I do read The Pioneer Woman Cooks on occasion and always enjoy it. Londinist regularly makes me miss a city that I love despite spending not-nearly-enough time there when I was too young to really appreciate it, and Television Without Pity and Jezebel have both brought me tonnes of enjoyment. There are lots of other blogs up for awards that I'm not familiar with or that I enjoy but don't think are the strongest contenders in their categories, but if nothing else, I strongly encourage you guys to check out the nominees to find some really great reading material. And if you love a blog and don't see it there, drop me a comment! I'd love to know what my friends are reading!
