Cal Badminton/ GGBC tourney
Badminton is oh so much fun. Though trying to find some place that I've never been to is kind of... ehhh... I've never driven to Emeryville before, so adding that to my non-existent sense of direction resulted in me and mel wondering whether or not to cross a bridge (bay bridge maybe?), then driving through Oakland, then Berkeley. Ah well.. We managed to get to GGBC2 thanks to a phone call to George and his awesome map-reading skills. =) Thankfully, we left really early at 10 30ish and got there around noon. Girls doubles was supposed to start at 1, but didn't really start til after 3ish? and we ended up playing our first game after 4? or maybe 5? some time rather late. Ah well. It was fun =)
Results of the day:
v & ^ D Women's Doubles 2nd place.... YAY we made it to finals! =D
v & ^ C women's doubles consolations... yes this one's a different color from the one above it...
No trophies, but medals are just as good. It's easier to find a place to put them, like hanging from a trophy from some past tournament...
Too bad I missed the choir annual performance this year. Again. Hopefully everyone had fun and gave an awesome performance. Perhaps I'll be there next year.
