"I've heard about those.. snow dogs, right? Like the kind that pull sleds maybe? I might be getting them mixed up though.." she shrugged a little, "Yeah, I think even if I didn't need Agros, I'd still have a dog. Definitely not a cat person. They're too.. unfriendly.. at least to me. Never saw the point of having a pet unless they were something you actually wanted to interact with.." she nodded a bit.

"You worked in Anser's office?" she raised an eyebrow at Delilah. "Wow.. that's pretty.. that takes guts." not that she'd talked to the guy very much, since he wasn't her Librarian or anything. "I've been working there for about.. eleven years. Sometimes I think I need to switch jobs.. it just seems like too much of a hassle." she grinned a little. "Some of us trip more then others, and thanks. I'm sure I'll need it.." she folded up her cane finally, figuring they weren't going to be moving anytime soon.

Jordan pretty much fails at doing this things in a timely manner but has come to accept it. lepetitrouge March 15 2008, 04:51:58 UTC
"I think this ones are bigger. And rounder. And possibly shaggier. Though maybe sled dogs carry mini-kegs of booze too? If you're riding around in the middle of the great white north I can see how that'd be handy." Delilah fades out a little, there, as if distracted. But then, "No, definitely. And that wanted to interact with you. Cats have their own thing going."

She nods on instinct, but follows it up quickly with, "Yeah. Well, I still do. I was filling in between the seventh assistant in so many months and her replacement, and we kind of never found one who could handle him. So, here I am." Again, on instinct, she shrugs, but as with the nod she is just retrospectively grateful there's no audience and says nothing of it. Instead, "Eleven years? That's crazy. I mean - I guess I just can't handle spans of time that are more than half my life. But if you like it then why not stay?"

There's a moment there when she's almost paused long enough for an answer. But just as it's on the cusp of it, she interjects, "And- okay. This is probably super rude, and if it is just tell me that and I'll shut up, but - like, when I was using adjectives and all that earlier, like 'round' and 'shaggy', do you.. have a concept of that? Like do you have your own idea of what I'm talking about? Or does it not mean anything?"

"Yeah exactly, cats are just kind of there.. and sometimes when they want something they rub up on your leg, but only when they want to. But if you call a dog, the dog will come over.." which seemed to make Argos' ears perk up a bit but then went back to playing.

"Well you've totally got my vote if you can handle Anser that much," she sounded impressed anyways. "It doesn't feel like eleven years. Well on some days anyways. Some days it definitely does. It's just weird when you get old and you realize you're actually that old.." she snorted slightly. "If I didn't have to get used to a whole new place to live, I'd go live in Miami or something."

Cassie laughed for a moment, "Yeah.. I've got concepts of those.. like.." she put up her fingers and made a square in the air with them. "That's square.. and .." her fingers made the shape of a circle, "That's round.. and if I feel a person's face.. I can tell if they're shaggy. Well like Argos' coat isn't that shaggy.. but.. it's concepts like.. 'this is red' that I .. well I understand, but I can't really understand color. But like.. my clothes.. they're all .. in a certain way so I can figure out what I should wear so I match.. but that's more for other people then myself. So I don't look like a ninny," she explained.
