What: A phone message for Jeremiah Reid.
When: Tuesday morning, bright and early at 6:30.
Where: The phone lines.

"Jemmy!!" There's a brief excited pause, as if trying to hold back excited news, and then failing miserably. "Guess what! I had the superest idea! You'll never guess!" Stop. Pause. "Are you guessing? Are you? Well, you can stop!!" Voice goes higher (if that's possible), as she reaches the climax of the whole message. "I think we should have a Best Friends Forever trip to the zoo! They have a new tortoise there and I just know how much you love tortoises, and I bet they might even have bunny rabbits!" Stop. Thought. Does she really want to see rabbits? "Well, maybe not as they are a bit common; but meerkats are sort of like rabbi--"

"Goodness! It cut me off! But as I was saying!" A small clatter, she's putting on lip gloss at the same time as talking, it's not working out too well, this multi-tasking. "Meerkats and bunnies are awfully similar! After all they both twitch! Like:" Never mind the fact he can't hear you rubbing your nose against the phone Edwina, never mind. "You're like distantly related cousins! It will be like visiting family! But call me, Jemmy, best friends forever!!"
