Things that made me happy today (part four)
* Hurray for contract renewal! So, basically, what's going to happen is this: the girl that started working at the college around the same time as I did and who taught more or less the same courses as I did, has had enough and they want me to replace her. She was supposed to be substituting until April, so until them I can keep on working there and making money to buy precious and shiny things.
* Wandering around the shopping streets while looking for a Christmas present for my sisters was so much fun. Unlike other years, I've found tons of nice things but not one that really stands out if you know what I mean. Ah well, still plenty of time.
* One of the bookshops I visited displayed the memoirs of a Belgian politician. The title of his book was (roughly translated) My lives. A journey through time and my first reaction was NO WAI HE'S A TIME LORD??!! It made me laugh out loud.
* I discovered I'm the youngest staff member at my college. I feel kind of speshul.
* Two Nigella Christmas episodes today! Her vast vocabulary and poetic phrases continue to dazzle me.
