So, since I may, in fact, have a real honest passed-n-everything device in a few months, I'd really like to make a banner of it. I'm trying to decide what type of fabric to use. I love Antonio's banner, which I think might be velveteen and something else.
Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice?

Acorns & Pearls, as it turns out, is the same weekend as graduation at the school where J teaches, and this is his third year there, and he has yet to attend a graduation ceremony.  He asked the Dean of Faculty, and she says he really needs to be there this year.  Therefore, he cannot go to A&P, because graduation is of course on Saturday, right in ( Read more... )

I just discovered that Fields of Acorns & Pearls, an SCA event that's going to have an equestrian element, is perhaps three or four miles from where Jonathan's Aunt & Uncle live in Marlborough, CT.  Wow!  That would be super convenient. :) 
(My devious brain says "their neighbors have horses........")

Birka Weekend was lovely.  We day-tripped Sat. as planned, Spent time with friends, not enough time, of course.  Maybe next year I should try to make Plans.  "I'm seeing Mahin from 10:37-11:14......" :)  I went to two equestrian meetings that were very interesting, and we're going to look into having equestrian events at GNEW.  Anyway, it was ( Read more... )
