Supernatural: The Song Remains The Same review

If you are a Supernatural fan and this episode didn't make you bawl like a baby, you better start looking for a new tv show to watch.

The episode SERIOUSLY made me cry. The Sam and John  scene was so broken, so sad, so heart wrenching. It was perfectly played. I love that Sam had said everything he wanted to tell John. That could help him lessen the guilt and the burden he's carrying.

Speaking of guilt and burden, I noticed how he described him and Dean - cursed. I was thinking that he's more like talking about himself being cursed. The blood and all the shortcomings he had. Poor boy.  It was good that he had a chance to see his mum and how his dad thinks of all the growing up learning to be a hunter.

Dean's conversation with Mary had me in tears, too. Oh Supernatural! The 'I'm your son' scene touched my heart. Well played, too.

Castiel saying Sam's a friend is a good progression from the last time he blatantly blamed Sam for starting the apocalypse. But I found it funny that they left Castiel in 1978.

Overall, best episode for the season!
