I'm alive; just sleep deprived lately...
I haven't been on the computer much so pardon my absence. Here's a much overdue update...starting backwards from yesterday ~
Last night was rough. I hardly got any sleep at all. Ariel has a cold. Michael is coming down with something. He was home from school yesterday. As a result, I was up with Aurora in the living room as I didn't want to disturb my hubby so he could get a good night's sleep. See, Aurora is showing signs of being ill (stomach bug type of sickness) and if today goes like yesterday I will definitely be calling the pediatrician. All day yesterday she did her "I'm in pain" cry along with moans and whimpers. There was no putting her down either because she was happiest (or rather most comfortable) being held up on my shoulder. Guess the warmth of my body felt good to her. She was constipated most of the day. I felt so bad for her since there wasn't much I could do but hold her, rock her, etc. She wasn't even nursing much yesterday as well. But it was "Talk Like a Pirate Day" yesterday and I still put her in Ariel's old bib for the occasion. I also dressed Ariel up in her Pirate Flags t-shirt and put a pirate bracelet on her and sent her to school that way. I had on a pirate shirt as well. Right before putting Ariel to bed, I had Michael take our picture:
I look awful in the pic and it's a bit dark but there you go.
Sunday - Michael went to Faire alone. I was home with both girls. He went by himself so he could videotape a bunch of shows for our personal DVD that we make.
Saturday - We went up to my in-laws' in Allentown for a gathering since my brother-in-law and his girlfriend hadn't seen Aurora yet and they were going to be there. We had a great time and I enjoyed our visit.
Friday - Aurora is one month old! YAY! To celebrate, I ventured out into the world with Aurora for the first time ever by myself. First, I met Michael for lunch and then showed off Aurora to my co-workers and Michael's co-workers. Afterwards, I went shopping! We headed over to Berkshire Mall and even though it was pouring rain outside, I did a great job on my own. You have to understand for the most part, I'm couped up in my home all day long. So even though I know it may not seem like a big deal, it is to me. Anyway, here's a pic I took of her at one month old...
Then here's a comparison shot (taken in the same bouncy seat) - Aurora at one month and then Ariel when she was one month old...
Wednesday - A photographer came to the house to do an "in home photo shoot" of Aurora. It was part of the package we paid for of her hospital pics. I don't have anything to show you all but he's to return in a couple of weeks with our free picture and of course more for us to buy should we want. We went out for dinner this night to Friendly's - YAY!
I think that pretty much catches me up to date here. Oh wait - no it doesn't. I never posted the pics from when we went to Faire on 9/9 for Irish Weekend. That visit to Faire was wonderful! We were only there from 12:30pm until 6pm but it was great! Seeing all of our friends (whether on cast or not) was the best and I missed the Faire sooooo much!
