Still married, still
Well, we're finishing up the first Monday after SCOTUS declared that marriage equality can be a Thing now. I'm still madly in love with my husband (and fortunately the feeling is still mutual). There have been over 300 same-sex marriages in our county this weekend, which hopefully has been a nice shot in the arm to the county coffers and more importantly has made a lot of my fellow Texans very happy.
A few years back, Barney Frank said this was "the most bourgeois revolution" he could think of. The right to marry, with all the privileges, rights, and responsibilities appertaining thereunto. I think he was right.
I hope we see many more happy weddings and successful marriages in the days to come. I hope #LoveWins every day.
