"Always look on the bright side of life!"

Today was absolutely phenomenal.  Just a wonderful day overall.  I don't think I could have asked for anything more, other than the fact that I didn't get a chance to talk to Mike.

I slept in and walked over to Tech Saturday with Jessica around 10:30.  We were at tech until 3:45.  We made crates and built a shower.  Jessica put her handprints on the back of my pants, Ashley's, and Casie's (and her own).  John ordered pizza and I took funny pictures with Ashley.  Jessica and I decided that today would be Cake Day.  David said we could make the cake at the AP house if we made him one, too.  So, Jessica and I headed out to Wal-Mart and picked up cake supplies and other random things.  We made David a funfetti cake with funfetti icing (I used the sprinkles to spell APhiT).  Jessica and I made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for ourselves.

DAVEY CAME TO VISIT!!!  (He never calls me before he visits...he just shows up and I randomly run into him.)

We went back to our rooms and changed out of our paint clothes to head to the Talent Show.  The winner didn't deserve the money compared to the rest of the acts, but that's another story.  I got to see Kelly and Heath and Kovach, which was nice.  After the Talent Show, I walked back to my room.  I got my Smirnoff for the night and a sweatshirt and headed over to the AP house alone...with a rapist on the loose in the city.  (Probably not the wisest decision, but no one else was going in my direction.)

The house was a blast.  It was a great group of people...all of the guys, two of their prospectives (whose names I don't remember), myself, Jessica, Davey, Jeremy, Jenna, Brian M, and Jeff.  Guess who got to sing toast by herself.  Davey was proud..."She's mine!"  There were drinking games, Wii, dancing, and lots of talking.  At one point, all of the Collegians who were there stood up and started doing our Hairspray choreography.  There were seven of the twelve Collegians there.  It was a lot of fun.

So, best part of the night...we're speaking again!!!  It's not just two word sentences...it's stories and real conversations.  When Jeremy and Steve went to get Jenna's iPod, I sat and talked to her.  She was a little tipsy.  I asked her if he even wanted to talk to me and she said, "Oh, yeah."  Not sure what that meant, but I took it as a good sign...along with the fact that he actually talked to me (once I started the conversation).  After he and Jeff left to walk Jenna back to Krieg, he called me to let me know that Jenna had left her keys and iPod.  Jeremy and Jeff came over, got Jenna's things, took them back, and then came back.  We left around 3am or so.

I'm so happy.  Really.  We're making progress.

After all, it's a step in the right direction...
