So, what makes a day truly memorable?
When you wake up at 10:30am from a phone call from Dr. G and you realize that your Musical Theatre final group project started half an hour ago.
Yeah...not fun.
Either way, I made it home. Later than I intended, but still home.
I started work at the Disney Store today. I was supposed to be there at 5. I didn't start doing anything until 5:30 because someone didn't show up and someone else was late. It was a fun two hours of paperwork. I loved filling in the lines that said "Cast Member's Name." And I actually heard my manager say that she was "going backstage." They actually use that terminology!! Oh, then there were the corny as hell videos.
The first one talked about customer service and up-selling while not coming across as doing that. They asked people at least four times if they wanted a matching magic towel and the customer always said yes. (Funny how that doesn't happen in the real world.)
The second video was worse. It was about shrink (shoplifting) prevention and it was clearly made in the late 80's. The hairstyles were god awful. But, the worst part...the lady hosting the video was wearing a sweater vest. Her coworkers were wearing full button-down sweater. Blech. However, the movie was entertaining because they inserted Disney cartoons scenes. They showed Little John stealing the "solid gold hubcaps." (Yay for a reference to my favorite movie!) They also showed Jaq and Gus stealing Drizzela's beads for Cinderella. And is it sad that I recognized all of the background music by name? I sat there saying, "Oh, that's the theme from 'Fantasmic!'"
I can't wait to get my nametag!! An official Disney name tag with my name on it!!
Well, time for bed. I'm working in the morning at B&BW. Yay!!
