I really, really enjoyed X-Men 3, despite the fact that I never read the comics and didn't know the names of the new mutants. Really enjoyed the evil mutant who was like a porcupine...evil and cruel. heh heh And I really enjoyed the brief fight between Iceman and Pyro. Oh, you MUST stay after the credits. Repeat: stay after the credits!!
**SPOILERS ARE HERE -- Next two paragraphs**
I was sad that Mystique lost her powers. Even though she was evil, I always liked her. But I thought it was great how she turned Magneto in. Happy and not so happy that Magneto "lost" his powers. I would laugh so hard if we found out that at the end he simply pushed the chess piece. Sad that Rogue lost her powers, but I understand why she went through it.
Jean Gray as the Phoenix is insane. I remember at the end of the second movie I really wanted her to come back because Scott (aka Cyclops) was so upset. So, she comes back and Scott is happy and breaking out of his rough streak. (Cyclops was always my favorite.) Well, what does she do? She 'effing kills him!!! And in the first twenty minutes of the movie...she kills Scott!! Twenty minutes in and I lost my favorite character. And then she kills Xavier later. (But he is alive, if you stay after the credits.) When Wolverine killed her at the end, I was sad for him, but boy did I want to see her get killed.
**END OF SPOILERS**
All in all, I thought that X3 was a great movie. I really enjoy the series. Except for Jason in X2...he creeped me out.
So, I got my first paycheck from Bath and Body Work and it wasn't horrible. 16+ hours, so it was better than I expected. And so far I have been needed for every single one of my call-in shifts, which is great. This week, I'm planning to get in touch with Five Seasons about summer camp and talk to Horizons to see if they got my application. Between the two, I'd rather work at Horizons, just because theatre is part of the program. (And if it's not, I'll find a way to squeeze it in.)
Aunt Debbie's Memorial Day picnic is tomorrow. Mike's mom and his brother, Mark, are at Abbey Road on the River for the weekend, so Mike and I are bringing his little sister, Emma. I hope she enjoys herself. I think she'll enjoy playing with Brandy, especially since they don't have a dog anymore. I'm sure she'll enjoy the dice game, too. :)
