Another night at the Playhouse

May 20, 2006 14:53

Tonight my mom and I are going to see "Little Women" at Playhouse Square.  She's exhausted from work today, but this is the show that she has been waiting for.  I really hope she enjoys it.

So, I really wish that I checked Playhouse Square's website more frequently.

While looking for information on Broadway Buzz's Pre-Show Talk for tonight, I noticed that this summer Playhouse Square is offering a "Wicked Musical Theatre Camp" for teens.  For five days, they are going to learn all about musical theatre and acting and theatre from professionals....members of the touring cast of Wicked!!!  By the end of the week, they will have a professional headshot, a resume, and a ticket to the show.  Ages 13-19.  (I look 19, right?)  And the camp (obviously) filled already.

Why didn't I look at the site sooner?

Well, they are having a two-day acting boot camp for adults, too.  Improvisation, reading from text, and expression through movement and voice.  And this camp isn't closed yet.  It's the Friday before and the Saturday I arrive at college for orientation.  (I wonder if I can get a day off work and convince Dustin to let me show up late.)

I guess I probably ought to weigh a few options.  I'm still trying to look into taking jazz lessons to prepare for Disney.  I probably ought to do only one or the other.  (I am trying to save money this summer.)

Which reminds me...I need to get my account set up for Bath and Body Works so they can pay me.
