I did. I believe it hurts her heart to speak of it, but she did not say that I ought not.

I hate to...

I am the closest thing my people have to a priest. I am, essentially, a spiritual leader. We don't tend to have similar practices for the dead, but if you make me aware of them, I can offer to treat them with solemnity and respect.
