Gearing up for Germany v Italy at 5:00 tomorrow morning. It's probably the best time for the match to be on, allowing for a solid block of sleep, plus the faint posiibility of being late for work for a good reason.
Being late for work is something folks won't be too happy with, though, given that so far this week I've basically been a troubleshooter at work for the myriad of problems encountered by staff using new systems and workflows that are too slow/don't work that were necessarily implemented to cope with the new legislation/policies taking effect from 1 July.
I've never seen this much negativity from staff ever. Some of them outright refuse to use the new software even though it works most of the time. But when the customer queue is out the door, the stress levels increase, and staff go back to what they know.
Such is the nature of working for the government; constant change and buggy computer systems that are constantly trying to catch up.
