World Cup Sleep Deprivation Diary - Day 19

Jun 28, 2006 17:16

I chose to watch Brazil v Ghana last night. My body chose to sleep. I might as well have not watched any of the match, that was how little I actually saw.

Spain v France would, in hindsight, have been a better match to watch.

In other World Cup news, the Italy v Australia humourous emails have been doing the rounds. It doesn't make it hurt any less though.

I'm now at 24 out of 56 for watching a match in full. Right now, I intend to watch every minute of every remaining game which would take me to 32/64, a ratio of 50%. Which is less than I anticipated when I started this whole experience, but it was largely false optimism that fueled this drive in the first place.

My viewing of all remaining matches is aided by the fact that the quarter finals are on Saturday and Sunday morning, and thereafter, when there is a match, there is only one match per night. I'll also be aided by being able to get a full night's sleep for the first time in 20 days. Bliss.
