What a strange and nerve stretching match. It was a very tense struggle, but Australia thoroughly desrved to come away with that draw and thus book a meeting with Italy in the second round.

Bizarre end. Smcnk or whatever should have been given a straight red (not just a third yellow) for denying a goal scoring oppurtunity or the goal given. You cannot stop a game at that point. Stupid.

Great game, I'm knackered.

Yeah that ending was bizarre. We had no idea whether the game had finished, the goal had counted, who had been red carded, what was going on or basically anything.

And there was at least one very obvious hand ball which I was surprised wasn't called.

But hey, we're through. Socceroos! Soc soc socceroos!

I only came in at minute 70-something when the score was 2-1 to Croatia. I was a nervous wreck (but happy) 20 minutes later. I feel like I should watch the entire Italy game but don't know if it's safe to! We'll see.

By the way, I think you're doing brilliantly with your schedule, all things considered.
