Humanity is not Lost!
Wow. I am so happy.
Recently we had neighbors move in to the upstairs and downstairs apartments. Unfortunately these folks do not hold to the same standards that my husband and I do - in the smoking, drinking, and coffee departments. And due to cold weather recently, smoke has been drifting down from the bathroom fan, laundry closet, and chimney - also from the outside but that's collateral damage. At least I can shut the door then.
So you can imagine that when my house stinks of cigarettes I worry that people will get the wrong impression.
So I did what any self-respecting (but not really hopeful) member of an apartment community would do. I called the office. She told me that they'd issue a reminder to my building about the smoking policies.
Keep in mind this is the same office staff that waited a year to replace a damaged dish-washer.
TODAY THEY DID IT!!!! Yeah it took 'em a few days, but they DID it.
