new job
so far in new job I have mostly been reading binders upon binders of policy and regulations. attended class on individuals' rights this morning. have begun reading individuals' files.
there is already two much interpersonal drama going on for my taste, and I've only been there three days.
I'm looking forward to getting past learning all the people's names and abilities, to the part where I know them all enough to get by, and have my own room and my own desk and get to plan my own activities. that'll be awesom. it'll be a while though--at least three months before I've rotated through the groups and get to go on my own.
am gradually wading through my state benefits paperwork. have picked out medical and dental plans. need to call to set up retirement account. registered for the bloodbank, so I can keep getting the annual fee paid for. need to get a tb test. I might need to get fingerprinted again, I'm not sure.
