(no subject)
Vikadin is a wonderful thing. All the hospital gave me was some ibprofin. but my mom dropped off two vikadin for me this morning. only two, which won't last long..but at least it's enough so I can eat something without crying. my tonsils are covered in puss, it's really gross, and they hurt like non other.
I'm incredibly exhausted. Just standing up makes me tired....walking to the bathroom, I feel like laying on the ground half way there and taking a nap. it's pathetic. Typing...my fingers feel sore and weak trying to type.
Last night, I woke up at like two am. I think I must have had a really high fever. I was drench in sweat. The sheets were soaked with my sweat. I tried to sit up but ended up just laying back down and falling asleep again cause I was so exhausted...I kept getting really really hot and then freezing cold. it was aweful.
They say I have to be really careful with my left side. No picking things up. don't hit it on anything or twist a lot, cause I might burst my spleen if I'm not careful. it feels really tender today. scary! can't that like kill you if you burst your spleen?
anyways. I'm trying to drink...I drank half a glass of water and half a gatorade...and half a cup of cream of chicken soup. That's it so far. my mom is bringing me over some more soup, some ice cream and juice...
I hope I don't get fired...they've really been bugging me at work lately...about being late (cause I haven't been able to wake up in the morning) and my work really falling behind. but now that they know I have mono, I think it'll make a lot more sense and they'll understand what's been wrong. I hope so. I told them I was sick and didn't know what was wrong, but I'm not sure that they believed me. well, hah! I have a doctors note, pictures of my tonsils, and my emergency room bracelet to proove it.
I have to miss the council meeting on tuesday...and I probably won't be able to go to the meeting on friday either. poor heather! she'll have to protem. it'll be good experience for her though. OH! and I'll have to miss my first Amaranth meeting on wednesday too! Sad...
The fair starts this weekend, so I probably won't be able to go to the fair this year...and we only got to go to bumbershoot one day, which we left early cause I was sick. I HAD TO MISS SCHOOLYARD HEROES TODAY! It's so sad. My dad is coming home at like 4am...the house is a mess, but I'm too tired to clean it for him. I have to change the sheets on their bed so they don't get sick from me sleeping there...but they have a tv in their room..so i can just lay in there and sleep or watch tv....
speaking of sleep....I think I"m going to go back to sleep now..
