Day Of Birth
Well Happy Birthday to me. I am now 27. Holy effing shat I feel old. No big plans have been made yet. To tell you the truth, I really don't feel like doing much. For one thing it is WAY too effing hot. Also, I have been feeling very ill the last couple of days. Must be a new bug going around. Ah, the perks of working Health Care. OOH! That reminds me. Me dear friend and favorite nurse (who has a second job at St. Mary's Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids) informed me (shhh...) that there is an opening on her floor (neonatal, YAY!). The way she explained it sounds a little more clerical vs. clinical which is kind of upsetting, but there will be rocking of babies and such. Since I've begun my career in Health Care I've wanted to work in the hospital. The only problem is that for the most part clinical workers get crazy shifts. If I were still single and had no children that would be perfect. However, I love my little family and wouldn't want to jeopardize that. She (the nurse) made me feel good about myself today when she thought that I would be perfect for the job since there is a lot of customer service and patient advocation involved. Eye heart her for boosting my ego on a day that I was feeling kind of bummed.
