The baby shower will be May 20, at 7pm. That's a Friday evening (scheduled it on Mia's mom's day off so she could come) It will be at my moms house. There will be directions in the invitations, which should get mailed out by this friday. If I've asked for your address and haven't gotten it yet, yours might be late. There will be drinks and snacks served, but if you're coming, eat dinner ahead of time.
We're registered at babies 'r us, family is buying us most of the big ticket items. So if you're planning on getting a gift, we'll need things like clothes (gender neutral, since we won't know til birth), blankets, bath stuff, medicine/baby health stuff, diapers, a few bottles (i plan to breast feed, so we'll only need a few bottles), bottle brushes, things like that.
That's only if, though. gifts aren't expected. lemme repeat that:
GIFTS ARE NOT EXPECTED. This is a chance to get together and have baby/new mom time. And frankly, that's really what I need the most. To be surrounded by people I love and to know I have their support and blessings. I mean, shoot, I'll only be about four weeks away from my due date by the time we have the shower. So please, don't not come if you can't buy a present. I really would much rather have the people there that I invited.
