Summary: Faith and Dean are on the road.

The interior of the Impala is stuffy and Faith feels dirty from the sweat from the sweltering heart and grit from the gravel roads that they’re driving on. She wants to take a break by finding some cheap motel where they can shower before hitting a bar or a roadhouse so that they can have a few beers. Of course, they’ll head back to the motel to while away a few hours before night falls when it’ll be cooler to continue their drive. However Dean has other ideas so Faith is stuck with feeling as if she’s melting into the leather of the Impala’s seat while the heat seems to slowly suffocate her.
“We have to reach Seattle in three days, we don’t have time to stop,” Dean reminds her.
“Yeah, I know,” Faith replies.
“It’s not that I don’t want to because there’s nothing more than I want to do.”
Dean gives her a leer as he pats her knee before sliding his hand up her thigh. Faith catches his hand just before it slips up under the hem of her very short shorts.
“It’s too hot, Dean,” Faith whines.
“I know baby.”
They fall into silence with nothing more than the crunch of gravel under the Impala’s tires and the radio playing softly. Faith finds herself feeling sleepy as she leans back against the hot leather seat. A song comes on the radio that reminds her of the last time she was in Sunnydale and sings along to it.
“Turn the radio up, Dean,” Faith lazily commands.
He complies with her request and before long they’re both singing the song together as the Impala eats up the miles that are between them and Seattle.
