Summary: And she has to wonder what’s wrong with her that she keeps falling for people who turn evil on her.
Word Count: 360
Buffy is watching from the balcony as Faith is dancing at the Bronze. The music is heavy and dark with a throbbing beat and Faith has everyone watching her as she twists to the music. In that moment, Buffy isn’t sure if she hates her or loves her or just plain wants her beneath her. She closes her eyes to shut out the image of Faith dancing but her brain just keeps supplying her with images, except this time Faith’s naked as she moves. Buffy really can’t take anymore of this, so she does what any self-respecting Slayer would do, she slips out of the Bronze.
She’s standing in the back alley where she first met Faith and at that very moment she hates herself for what she’s feeling. Faith is evil, she’s defected to the Mayor and Buffy knows that she can’t be having these feelings anymore. And she has to wonder what’s wrong with her that she keeps falling for people who turn evil on her. First Angel and now Faith, who will it be next?
Her thoughts are interrupted when she’s roughly pushed up against the brick wall and Faith’s lips crash into her own. It’s not a gentle kiss by far and Buffy’s trembling when Faith pulls back.
“You always think too much B.”
“And you never think enough Faith,” Buffy spits out.
Faith just laughs at her. She’s not angry at Buffy’s insult, or if she is Buffy can’t really tell, which isn’t really anything new since Buffy’s never been good at reading Faith. For all she knows right now, the brunette isn’t there to seduce her and get into her panties but is there to literally slip the knife in her heart this time. Buffy tenses as she waits for Faith’s next move.
“I’ll be seeing ya B,” Faith says before she recaptures Buffy’s lips.
When Faith is gone, once again Buffy’s left with the uncertain feeling of how she feels for Faith. She can’t tell if its hate or love all she knows is that Faith’s like a drug that she needs, wants and craves no matter how bad it is for her.
