Summary: There’s no turning back.

The first time that she decides to cast magic, she’s worried that someone might catch her and if someone catches her, she knows that she’ll be in trouble. But she can’t resist the siren call of the dusty spell books that she unearthed. Her fingers run along the ancient parchment and glide against the heavy black ink that that forms the words that in turn form the spell. She takes a deep breath and she can taste the power emanating from the book. At that moment, before the words flood from her mouth, she almost turns back. She almost slams the cover down on the ancient book and turns away in pursuit of the safe and mundane. Instead of running she closes her eyes and allows the power to calm her. This is what she wants. There’s no turning back, not now. Not ever.
The Latin flows effortlessly from her mouth and it fills her with power and desire. She’ll never be the same again.
