California, baby!
Here is a small portion of the pictures I took in California. For your viewing pleasure! :)
The sunset from above 10,000 feet in Mineral King in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada's.
The side of Monarch Lake, where we stopped to camp
In the Sequoia National Park.. This was just a baby sequoia perhaps a 100 years old.
Due to the extreme heat we had quick intense thunderstorms everynight. They only lasted about 10 to 15 minutes and then moved on to another mountian.
The sunbeams breaking up the storm clouds
This was taken on the way up the waterfall looking down on Monarch Lake with some pretty mountian flowers.
We started on up the left side and snaked around this entire loop of mountian.

An massive sequoia that you can walk through like a cave due to wildfires over the past few hundred years.
A mountian in the distance and as a reflection in the lake seen from where we camped.
Ever wonder where the saying "Purple Mountian Majesty" comes from? Well, this is it.

I took a lot of flower pictures. This is just one.
And this is a rat! a rat the size of a cat! It was just chillin', walking down the streets of Oakland at night. The fact that we were walking towards it didn't even phase it, he knew that he owned that street.
