Life as I know it...

Jan 13, 2005 20:07

I haven't really updated in a while, so I'm going to do so before I go to bed at 8:30 (I'm such an old lady I know). Well, life has taken a turn for the intresting lately. Some good some bad, all of it has taught me something. I've been severly depressed, confused, and angry lately...but I am happy to say that God was using that opportunity to teach me through my hurt, and I actually took it, which was definately necessary. I'm alot more at peace than I was and I'm alot less depressed at least. God's just taught me that I can't hide. I can't just take what the world dishes out to me, because he has so much better, and that even though I don't EMOTIONALLY feel him. He's there. Colette called me to remind me of that today actually. She doesn't even know what's been happening lately either. God's also taught me that I have to WORK ALOT AT SEEKING HIS WILL. I mean ALOT. Even though I hurt more than I have (most of the time) God used my lows to bring him closer to him. I feel like he'll bring everything together...Besides things have seemed HAPPIER today. Still not great, but better...Anyways, I trust him.

On a happier note:

I dyed my hair! I am no longer a blonde, but a redhead! (I decied to join the club STerling!!!)

I feel alot closer to God than I have been!

My sister is coming to Sunday school every week! That's a longtime prayer answered!

I have the most AMAZING friends ever!!! I mean, I don't keep a ton too close, but Jenny, Grace, and even Tiffany from Georgia have been great this whole time...seriously, I don't know what kind of extreme circumstances that I would have taken without them...because they were definately in my thoughts. I felt like no one cared, so why should I care if something happens to me? But they showed me otherwise, and God has blessed me with such amazing people...

Tiffany is coming into town TOMORROW!!!

CASSANDRA GARCIA TURNS 18 TOMORROW!!!!!!

The daycare is great!!! I cannot thank God enough for the kids (I have 6 one year olds) and the things that they are teaching me. The daycare has definately showed me that I should be a teacher, and I look forward to going there everyday.

On another note::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

My new schedule is intresting...

MWF-American History since 1877-My teacher is awesome...In fact, he's so awesome that I met someone outside of Kenan who told me how amazing he was, and he turned out to be in my class! Yay for meeting new people!!! :) I also have a group of friends in class (including my new one...who is quite a looker, I must say! ;) So I definately will have a great time in that class! :) Exciting!

Tues and Thurs-
8:00-Liberal Arts math 2::::This is an 800 class. IN MATH. Need I say more? The positive? Zach Grant and Marilynn.

9:30-Educational Psychology:::I like taking education classes!!! Besides, I take it with Cristina, and Ty...and Debbie Smith interprets for that class!!! So that calls for a good time! :)

11:00-Shakespeare 2:::ADORE IT. We already started the play "Measure for Measure" and the teacher was great!!! It's so intriguing, and the teacher is incredible.

2:00-Intro to Philosophy 2:::I've heard horror stories about the teacher and the class...but I LIKED IT. ALOT. Yes the teacher was intimidating in her own way, but she has my kind of sense of humor...I found this class quite enjoyable! and I must say that it made me feel exhilrated to feel differently from most of Flagler's population.

Well, all in all...This semester is going to be fun!!! I am definately stoked, stoked, stoked about Shakespeare, and Philosophy!!! Philosophy? Man, I'm never going to be invited to the good parties anymore...History is pretty exciting too...so is educational psychology...well, I definately have alot more...PASSION for my classes this semester...God is moving, I can feel it!!!

I leave you with question:::

"What can you say about a society that says that God
is dead and Elvis is alive?"
-Irv Kupcinet

I found that quite humorous...God Bless!!!
