unrelated things
**we saw greyhounds yesterday! we volunteered at QCGA for the morning shift, learning all the finer points of actually being "in charge," so that the two of us can start covering some of their weekend shifts once in a while.
**we have finally bowed to the inevitable and ordered David some shoes online. it's almost impossible to get narrow men's shoes in stores, and the nice thing is that if we order direct from the company we have the option to return them if they don't work. special orders through shoe stores often aren't as flexible.
**I am both sad and yet somehow relieved that Left Behind Friday is over. Fred finally finished the book, arguably one of the worst books ever written. I'm not sure if he should go on to begin picking apart Tribulation Force; he might start bleeding out of the ears or something.
**Honey Fest was fun, though brief! we didn't get there until about a half hour before they closed up shop, because of volunteering at QCGA. still, we got to talk to some beekeepers, see honey extracted from combs, and have some honey flavored ice cream.
