Holy new apartment, Batman!
Moved in!
Well, sort of. None of my shit is actually there yet, just some kitchen stuff and my bed, which is propped up against the wall of the hallway because I spent the last day and a half painting my bedroom! Purple and pink! It looks pretty great, and all mod with the SOME WALLS ARE THIS COLOR AND OTHER WALLS ARE ANOTHER COLOR! HOW MOD! Plus I basically got first pick of bedrooms. Not only is mine one of the biggest, it is also in the back corner of our apartment so all the sound from the common areas of the house is muffled really effectively. Last night while I was painting, Roommate #1 and Roommate #2's sister were having/making dinner in the kitchen and talking at a relatively loud level and I could hardly hear anything. ISN'T THIS EXCITING TO READ? 8D Maybe I will post some pictures once we're settled in. And you can all tell me how jealous you are.
Anyway. I have now met two out of three roommates and they are so awesome. They're super genuine and have excellent taste in furniture, half of which is altered/custom painted. Roommate #1 did some killer stencil work on this stupid white couch from IKEA. He also decoupaged a Pulp Fiction poster onto the kitchen table, so Samuel L. Jackson will always be present at dinner parties. And then he cleaned the bathroom. I already kind of love them! ^_^ Roommate #3 gets here at the end of the week sometime and I am very optimistic about him because Roommates #1 and #2 are so overwhelmingly enthusiastic about singing his praises.
I ate Himalayan food today and it was goooooood.
