Sunday was quite a busy day on the Booking Office, we took nearly £1,000. Booking up was not helped by the cat, who insisted on sitting on everything he could. When I finally shifted him off I found I'd missed a line, hence the books not balancing! Alex had fun with Granny again, and we got him on Mayflower and Impala, pushing up his numbers some more.
On Monday Mum left early on the morning, so I had Alex most of the day. He spent some time with Simon, and some with me drawing in the booking office. I decided I really needed to change his nappy, only to see him waving to me as he left on the Old Gentleman's Saloon. I caught up with him 20 minutes later and managed to get him done. Alex has a fun day and was exhausted when bed time came. Amazingly when we put him in the car he stayed awake, so he was a bit grouchy on Tuesday. He is still running a slight temperature and has a cough and runny nose, so that is not helping to cheer him up.
After a quiet morning I decided to take him to Earwigs, just to get us out of the house. I gave him half a dose of Calpol and he really enjoyed himself, running round with the other kids. We had a slow walk back, and an afternoon playing football in garden. Alex was being very cute, getting me to hit him with the ball and then falling over, frequently in the wrong direction! Alex slept quite well, with calpol and vicks on his feet.
Yesterday he was well enough to be packed off to Ladybirds, and he seemed to have a good morning. We then had a meeting for NELLI at the Folk Hall, it was fairly unproductive for Cath, slightly less so for me, but the kids were winding each other up. We got about half the meeting and missed the rest. Simon got home at 5, and Alex helped him mow the lawn, so cute!
Today Simon went to work briefly, then we headed off to Pickering. We were all dressed up for the Train of Thought Ian Allan award plaque unveiling, but as Dad hadn't taken Mum we left Alex with her. That was a good decision, as he would have been really bored, I know I was! I was mentioned in the speeches, but I could barely hear them, then the big wigs went off on the saloon and we stayed for lunch. I went back up to Mum's and we got Alex's hair cut, which he loved as he thinks Anna is great. I tried to brush his hair this morning and was told Anna would do that later!
