(no subject)
Its been another mad week. Monday we were out to tea, then Simon came home and we did a months worth of shopping, including the bits for feeding Simon's parents on Friday night. Alex was kept amused by being fed the box form the garlic purée, Simon is getting better with him all the time. Excluding of course last Friday night when he was trying to shut him up in the worst ways possible. He also held him up with no nappy on as I was changing him, and didn't get pissed on, no fair!
Yesterday morning I woke up to find one of the veins has swollen or burst in my right eye, but it feels totally fine and normal, even if it looks demonic. Very odd.
Yesterday we supposed to be Little Elms, but the bed arrived instead. I would only have scared the other kids with my eye, Alex appears to find it funny! Then we went over to Julia's for dinner, which was nice. Eli thinks Alex is gorgeous even when he screaming, strange girl!
Today's been busy. We've been to Dunelm to do some remote control shopping for Libby (changing her curtains) and buying non slip bath matts as Alex is now sitting up, then unpacking the bed with Alex's 'help' and half building it while he had a nap. After that we went swimming, then we got back and finished the bed while he napped again. It went quite smoothly until it came to attaching the mattress base to the hydraulics, which was impossible to line up with just one person. However, I am nothing if not ingenious, so after much swearing I ended up tying down the hydraulics with cord to use the bed base surround as a locator for the top. I only had to get the top 2 bolts in and we were away. It might have been easier to wait for Mum tomorrow, but where is the challenge in that? I've been bimbling round putting up little hooks for calenders and such this evening, and have now run out of hooks.
Tomorrow Mum and I are heading into York, so I can go to the Osteopath in peace while she takes Alex, then on Friday the in-laws are coming over for the weekend, and Alex is due back at the hospital for another check up on his heart. Fingers crossed all is still well.
