AND AND-- homg. :((( sadface. cuddles the kyu and heechul and just. damn it. pound the door down and carries heechul in your chest and why can't happiness ever fall upon them.

Even when he knows no one could see, could tell - because no matter how you look at it; he's still the youngest, still charming and witty and Kyuhyun, just like Heechul is still acting like he owns the place, still proud and fun and Heechul - he's lost.
GUH. I MEAN. :( KYUCIN MAKES ME SAD. WHY THIS. WHY SUCH WONDERFUL PLOT AND THEME BUT HURTS. JFHKJFHJDSKFHDSKJHFKJSFH i am so. sobs. i love this piece. i really do. and-- and it's so damn good, it makes me want to threaten you for a sequel. it is not fair. stomps foot* my poor kyucin. this was so lovely and heart clenching. and nhi! why-- why? this piece deserve so much love.

The thing is, Heechul is good at letting people go, but not really.
He laughs but he lingers, he smiles but it wavers, he jokes but he hopes, he demands but he remembers. Most times, it's not obvious; it never was.
It's only times when he has nothing to do (or everything to do but not wanting to do it), times like when he pulls the dictionary Kyuhyun left behind out from some hidden compartment in the drawer by his bed and mouths out the words written on sticky notes that the other stuck within pages, times like when he sits by himself in the laundry room to try to remember what it felt like to be boundless with only Kyuhyun and that moment mattering, times like when he lays in his bed with his blanket wrapped up tight around him like a cocoon that gives warmth like Kyuhyun's arms yet doesn't make him feel nearly as safe, is it obvious.
That's why, every time he sees Kyuhyun when he's alone (not surrounded by other people, because it's always different with others around), and sees that look in the younger's eyes, the one that mirrors his own, saying, "I'm lost without you," he can't help but feel like throwing away everything he's ever feared about love.
That's why, three weeks after of acting normal (by his standards, of course) and twenty-three awkward situations later, when Kyuhyun slips a note under the door in the middle of the night (Heechul had a script to memorize), he can't help but smile.

Okay I really absolutely love this ending as well, and I like that you still left it a bit open though we all know it has to be full of happiness and many many arguments and future breakups with awesome makeups so that the reader could imagine how and what happened. Of course, all that was fine and lovely except for the fact that the note thing was cheesy and makes me kinda think I should do that to umma, and then this:

It makes me think of how much I miss playtime with my sseoni because I remember you rolling around and us making blanket cocoons. ;-;
