On me? A mildly sweet, pleasant perfume, not really fruity or flowery in particular, and not chemical smelling in any way, but “just a nice scent”. A good daily scent, or a simple going out scent. Probably a good gift scent for people who think all the BPAL stuff is Goth or smoky.
[Listed Ingredients: Lotus root, Mogra, Mango, tamarind, cardamom, clove, almond milk, cashew, rice flower, coconut, supari, raisins, and incense crafted from Aloeswood, red sandalwood, cedar, and spikenard.]
I could wear this daily. i did put it on lightly, so it has faded off quite a bit, but it would likely last longer with a more "serious" application.
my hair has not apparently re grown to a useful length since yesterday , heavens this is taking a long time (sarcasm)... but yes, its annoying me because its just about an inch too short to put up easily. however it is for a good cause.
the director from
wigs for kids, the charity i donated my hair to, has been absolutely thrilled to get my donor saga story, and the link from my blog.. how do i know this? because she replied with a personal reply to my "here is a donation story for the web page".email.
apparently they don't get the press of some of the other groups, but i think they do good work. so:
1. post a link to them on your blog or webpage
2. if anyone is considering a hair cut, refer them to wigs for kids (www.wigsforkids.org).
(while they need 12" for a donation to be used for a wig, even a few inches of hair can be sold to raise funds for making the wigs.)
3. if you know a salon have them write or email wigs for kids to be put on their referral page, you also get a great sticker for your door.
(look, i went to the salon i did because it is on their web page.... free advertising, its a good thing!)
4. if you have the money, consider a donation. they also need some computer stuff and other things, go look at their web page.
seriously, its a great cause. i know how miserable i am having my hair "short" , i can only imagine what it must be like for a kid.. whose ego and self esteem are still developing, to lose their hair completely.
i now return you to your regularly scheduled whining.....
