Dad is in the hospital!

Mar 04, 2007 00:00

This is
whouseknecht, Kirsten's husband, posting on her behalf. Kirsten is away at Poughkeepsie this weekend for NonCon.

Kirsten's father, the Rev. Roger Pickering, suffered a TIA (transient ischemic attack, or stroke) at around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon. He is recovering at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Kirsten mother, Sandra, says he is doing well so far.

Kirsten just found out about this. I was informed earlier by her mother who said that Dad was doing well and that Kirsten should not rush home or anything.

Riiiiiiiiight...

Kirsten is exhausted from Saturday's business or else she'd probably try to come back tonight. As it is, she will be wrapping up her sales early on Sunday and packing up to head home. Once she is home and has the 4-hour drive from Poughkeepsie behind her, we will be trying to head up to Chestnut Hill Hospital to visit her father.

As it is, she is and will be totally preoccupied by her father's condition. Anyone who expected to be contacted by her for any reason should either reply to this post or e-mail her at kirsten@fabricdragon.com to remind her of what you need or wish from her.

She apologizes to everyone for the delay in contacting them that will happen.

Of course, any and all good thoughts, well wishes, prayers, and blessings are welcome.
