i need to find homes for some or all of my pets. yes my situation has just gotten far, far worse.
these are my kids, i will want to be assured of their good care, and if possible receive updates on how they are doing. Obviously the younger animals will adapt more easily and should be placed first if possible. al animals are spayed or neutered, all have their claws (although a few are missing teeth, but thats not my decision)
EDIT: i have found foster care for some, and we MAY be able to keep our house, or may not. i am prioritizing the easier to place cats.. and will try to "wait and see" if we can keep the older/special needs animals
Max, a german shephard dog or cross. Primarily black. approximately 12 years old has fatty non malignant tumors on his stomach that really should be removed, is otherwise good. sweet old momma's boy. vaguely neurotic like most GSDs, he is terrified of thunder and big booms.
his hips have just started to really bother him. friendly, good with UPS drivers, other dogs (at doggie day care/boarding) and his cats. doesnt like strange cats in his yard, but should be able to be introduced to any other dogs and cats. gets violently car sick unless you drive very carefully, do not feed him if you plan to have him in a car.
From easiest to place to hardest:
Smokey, a gray tabby male, probably 6? likes pettings, not so much on "picked up". very affectionate, will bump repeatedly for attention. has a "ear fetish" in that he will repeatedly rub his ear into objects. we checked, his ear is fine.. maybe he had a bad ear as a kitten, who knows? seems to like the other cats, but wouldnt mind being an only cat either. sort of ignores the dog. (priority)
Trouble, a black female, probably 5 years old now??? maybe only 4? overweight, medium to large sized cat. likes to be petted on her terms. always looks at people like they will eat her. LOVES the dog, not so much the other cats... would probably prefer a less cat ful house hold, but she gets along with the other cats well enough. not aggressive, sort of low cat on the totem pole around here i think. (priority)
Frosty, a dilute orange tabby (creamsickle) male. aprox 3 years old. very very large. looks like "Dodsworth" . a low maintenance cat with a sweet face. isnt big on being picked up or cuddled, but loves my husband Wayne. bumps him for attention, rubs ankles... (isnt fond of me) tolerates other cats, likes the dog.
Baby, a calico female. she is probably 6 ish.. very small, kitten sized. adorable, cute as super power..... loves my husband, is ok with me, is ok with cats and dogs (had our dog treed up the stairs when we got her, but she decided he can live...). she was a only cat before we got her, and i suspect would thrive in a less crowded house hold.
Septimus (mouse) orange tabby male, probably part meese because he talks.. a lot, but doesnt have the meese voice. he is probably 10 or 11. healthy, happy, ok with other cats, likes the dog. sort of built long and skinny. suspected half brother to Small Kidd. oh, yeah.. as a kitten his very front teeth came out. vet says it just happens sometimes. HAS FOSTER
Shlemiel, a black male, about 13 years old? maybe 14? we bottle fed him as an abandoned cat.. "meh" toward the other animals, he gets along but doesnt seem to care much about them....... he is old and just wants to stand next to you and be petted. VERY much likes the pettings!!!!!! but do not try to pick him up. he flails. THIS CAT HATES CARRIERS. we transport him to the vet on a hardness and a towel in a lap. you can wrap him in a towel just fine but he seriously freaks at carriers.. or at least he did, havent tried him on one in years. he is long and thin. this always worries me, but he is just built that way.
Small Kidd, male orange tabby, has had chronic tummy /gut issues. this is my baby, he loves everyone, sleeps on my head, horrid nudge. you can roll him into shapes, pick him up, put him on your head......whatever, he loves you. DO NOT GIVE HIM PEOPLE FOOD. he doe fine on a strictly limited diet of science diet cat food dry, and fancy feast (no wheat) seafood wed. he MUST get wet food to keep him healthy. he is likely allergic to wheat to some degree.. (yea, probably kitty celiacs) if this cat gets placed i will insist on pictures and updates.
Groucho, a male tabby and white (grey tabby blotches, white blotches), small sized, probably 15? he will meow/screeches for attention like someone is murdering a rusty hinge. very active, a bit scrawny in his old age, but still in good shape. low cat on totem pole unless food is involved, then he becomes a small linebacker.
also have a tank with two very large goldfish. they would be find in a pond i think, otherwise they come with a 55 gallon aquarium, but you have to figure out how to pick it up.
i have a55 tank with yellow lab cichlids, but i may be able to sell those (they are breeding for me)
