cleaning and storage , help appreciated.
in order to get the house in shape for an inspection i have to paint over old water stains, and have a reasonably clean house... i need to remove a LOT of stuff.
i also need to figure out what is wrong with the electrical in the bathroom, and re paint it in any case.
to do this i have to move a lot fo stuff out of the way.
with some help from my parents i am in process of arranging to rent a storage unit.
the plan is that everything that doesn't have a "home" or good place to be put in the house, (or is in the way) will go into the storage unit, as will anything we dont use often.
this will get the house empty enough to be painted (at least the stains) and get the bathroom fixed and then we will pull out one box at a time and sort it into :
keep (where?)
sell
donate
trash
during the great shove it all into a storage unit movement, there will be a great deal of "loot" up for grabs as a reward to anyone brave enough to help
i will be starting this off by also trying to list OBVIOUS sell me stuff on my Lj and maybe ebay.

i live in Philadelphia, near to public transit.
if you have a vehicle to help transport stuff so much the better, but just people to pull stuff out, put it into boxes, and help load the car will be good.
once i know when people can make it (and this will not be a one day event, trust me) i can also arrange take out food or barbeque or whatever.
