I've read the blog of person whose work started the ball rolling, and read an online editorial that discusses the brouhaha. If the editor of Cooks Source is as socially inept and as amoral as those posts are making out, I think a big dose of karma is headed her way.

while the facebook comment may be a hack, the letter sent to monica wasnt... so apparenrly she IS in fact that dumb

like i said, dont they teach you to pretend to be sorry when caught?

sadly, i have seen people do JUST that.
on the grounds that internet hits pay my bills, ya know......

i mean verified people doing that.
no i dont know if she did, or was hacked, but i have seen other people do just this

Yeah, if I had received a response to that effect, I'd be reaching for the phone to call to an IP lawyer--just to set an example to support the principle that you don't steal people's work. It is one of the duties of Congress per Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution to support authors' rights.

Hubris? That editor has it.

i, for one, dont know how the woman wears pants.

cause she's got some big ol solid brass danglies where they shouldnt be, no matter how else this is sliced.

oh, she was WRONG, no doubt about it. other people's work is other people's work. period. if you didnt write it all by your lonesome, its not yours unless the author says you can use it. period.

and speaking of period, she "had to do a lot of editing on mis-spelling"?? did she MISS the fact that this was a website on medieval cookery??
