found out where a bag of beads disappeared to.... under the bed.
all over under the bed....
out of its bags and individually being played with by cats, under the bed...
if i ever get it put together i think i may call it "bedroom jewelry"..... or maybe "kitty jewelry".. or something
lets see. i have a collection of left shoes... i also have a collection of right shoes..... sadly they don't seem to be from the same pairs. i have just about decided to throw them all into a bin and let Goodwill sort it out. i have pulled several unworn pairs of fancy dress shoes to be taken over to the upper end consignment store. i never wore them, never will wear them, and they might as well get some money back for me....
you all can light a candle for me on Tuesday (when my appointment at the consignment store is) that they take most of the stuff i want to sell there. (and that all the stuff i already HAVE taken there sells.. fast... for lots of money? please?)
did you know dry cleaning and pressing is REALLY expensive? the consignment store said three items (last visit) were too wrinkled (they are LINEN guys) to take and they needed to be cleaned (cat hair) and pressed before they could accept them.... so off they went to be cleaned and pressed... OW! OW! OW!
i personally think Linen is supposed to look rumpled. the fact that i dont iron except in the winter due to overheating issues is PURELY coincidence... and cat hair? everything i TOUCH gets cat hair on it....
so anyway..... i have once again found the sofa in the living room. not the entire sofa mind you, but goodly sized pieces of it. the chair in the living room is visible again and i have emptied two shelves of junk. now i have to find a way to get all the stuff i want to keep into boxes and get them on to the shelves. i have two bags of stuff ready to go to the dump or wait for trash pick up, and a goodly amount of stuff for thrift stores.
my new theory of cleaning is "if it hit the floor and it isnt in a sealed box, made of precious metal or easily washable material, or actual CASH.... its TRASH"
whouseknecht doesn't agree with me, but given we have 8 cats and a dog, anything that is on the floor gets dirty pretty fast... i think its a good mantra.
i just found a bin of more old woolease (yea, lion brand) and will need to find someone to give it to. i know a wonderful charity "Warmer Winters" in Mass. but getting the yarn to them is kind of difficult. i am accumulating a pile of clothes that needs to be mailed to various people. that will not be cheap either i am afraid. but at least its out of the house once i do that.
speaking of out of house..... met a couple of LJ friends IRL yesterday. that was cool.... i kept going "but i am sure we have met" and so did they.. we have so many local ish contacts in common that we must have met at some time.. we just cant figure out when.
