Another fine weekend, but nothing too exciting to report.
I did get almost paid on Friday, but have been suffering a serious money shortage as the hours at work have been barely part time (and frequently less than). Fortunately I'm on a full time project now so things should start to stabilize over the next few weeks. I hope.
In any event tho, I really am beginning to think it's time to move on and find a real full-time gig. But, that's contemplations for a later day.
Friday, I did some errands and unpacking of the kitchen and generally poked around the house, as well as 8 hours of programming but around 9pm or so I popped into City Of Heroes and really had a fun time with my friend Joe, running up a new scrapper. Then I played one of my blasters for a bit.
Saturday was clean the hedghog den out and work on the office a bit. And the fish-tank. In the late afternoon it was back to City Of Heroes.
Sunday was game day and my Ars Troupe was a lot of fun. Next weekend is our "off" weekend tho, but it's also DragonFlight! After the game my friend Joe and I went to get some Chinese and then went to see the Mummy 3.
I really hate to not like a Brendan Frazier movie...but honestly, everyone in the movie was sleepwalking through their parts. It was a CGI extrrrrrrravagaaanza. And it wasn't a very pretty one at that. The action was uneven, punctuated by bizarrely placed family bonding moments. The Yetis, however, were amusing, but maybe too much so. Unfortunately I'd have to say I thought the movie was dreck. Joe thought so too.
I wanted to cut fabric this weekend, but didn't get to it and, frankly, don't have the monies for it, so will have to wait for the next pay day. I did see a set of digi-grade legs that I really liked from
feraway2 and even tho I'm not planning on a fursuit for myself, part of me thinks having those legs, or something like them for
rainfurrest would be fun to be clomp-clomping around in...Maybe another project to throw into the long list of unfinished, unstarted, or impractical things to (not) do.
