I finally met Aldric after months of being his classmate. Also joining us at Antipodean this afternoon were Kix, Mykee, Miggy D, and Pao M.
I asked these gentlemen - if there was a change in the world that they wanted to see, what would it be? Mykee told me, he wished that it didn't matter as much who one knows to get ahead. Aldric, told us, with emotion, that he wished that no one would be hungry. Miggy D told me that he felt that the Philippines should be a middle income country already. I don't think I had asked this of Pao M or Kix (who was talking with her sister, Karen).
What else is there to say? We spent time outside, outdoors, drinking sangria, and we also gossiped a bit, talked about what subjects we were going to take, and what our goals were. No one is particular audacious you know. We just want our lives to be somewhat better. I hope my classmates reach their goals and dreams. They're good people anyway.
I did tell them - I did wish that people could use information better, and not have to struggle so much with their health. Actually, walking home, I realized, that I wished that more Pinoys had more financial assets - savings, support, and that they wouldn't have to struggle so much.
How heartless for some people to deny this to our own people. How could they and why right
